                            Peter & Judas – A Tale of Two Betrayals
 
Since we have just come through Easter I thought it would be interesting to look at 2 characters that figure prominently in the Easter story. This morning I would like to look at two disciples that failed Jesus in His greatest hour of need. I would like to look at Peter and Judas and compare how they responded to their failures. This morning I would like to look at 4 things we can see regarding Peter and Judas.
 
I.  They were both chosen by Jesus.
 
            a.  Judas (Luke 6:12-16)

            b. Peter (Luke 5:4-11)
 
 
II.  Both were targeted by Satan.
 
            a.  Judas (Luke 22:2-6)
 
            b. Peter (Matthew 26:31-34)
 
 
III.  Both were warned about their future actions.
 
            a.  Judas (Matthew 26:21-25)
 
            b. Peter (Luke 22:55-62)

 
IV. However, They responded differently.
 
            a.  Judas was remorseful (Matthew 27:1-5)
 
            b. Peter was repentant (John 21:15-17)
